Approximately how much of your inventory are in gated/restricted categories? I ask because I'm curious as to how well these products sell versus completely ungated categories.

About half my items are in gated categories and it seems like there is less competition in the gated categories. Clothing and shoes seem to sell very fast. Groceries was easy to get ungated in up until recently, good money to be made there but heavy competition.

Its been just a click to entry in almost every “Gated” category recently. Every Tom, Dick, and Mary was able to jump in without even a weeks worth of prior selling history. This is the reason for the uptick in participants. How long they continue? That will be the true test. I sell 70% or more in ungated areas. but have recently dipped my toes ito clothing. 20% I sell probably in Grocery. 10% in H&B probably. True gated categories like Star Wars 7, DVD, and a couple exclusive is where your best off focusing if your continuing on searching for less competition. But these are more difficult a doorway to maneuver. But worth the work. (No, I have not yet, but personally know several that are)

Depending on the category there are definitely more returns in the gated catergories. As long as you take that into consideration you can make good money in the gated catergories
