Can Amazon force you to take a return AT YOUR EXPENSE?
I know you have to take returns, but can they force you to provide a pre-paid label? this was for an item from 2 months ago and a computer? (Not something cheap to send) . They told amazon buyers remose. It is not a defect issue
Amazon has never forced me to take a return. This is over 30 days. If they filed an a-toz claim I would tell them it is over the 30 day return period.
If they filed a claim, wait 6 days then reply to Amazon that it is over 30 days. They have ALWAYS denied the claim for us.
I just recently purchased a Dell product from Amazon and their policies on the page said if it is opened it may not be returnable if it is there is a huge restocking fee.
That was Amazon customer service that generated the return. They generate a-to-z claims too but most of the time they are denied. I would email the customer and tell them that you received a request to return ……… but the return period has expired for this order. Per the Amazon return policies all returns must be completed within 30 days. Thank you for contacting us regarding your order.
You do not have to provide a prepaid label. It gives you the option whether to or not. Also, buyers have a longer period for returns during the holidays. If you search return policies in your seller account you can see this and Amazon also sends you a reminder email about this at the beginning of the holiday season. It was also posted on the home page of seller central.
