I received the following message from bike-o-vision and immediately removed my listings. I had some of these DVDs in shrink wrap and some opened. I found these at a Thrift store and they do not appear to be copies. I did not get a restricted notice when listing them and had no idea they were restricted. Should I open the new ones and sell them as used or just not relist them. The way they stated the message I am not sure if they meant I can’t sell them at all or I just can’t sell new ones. Would you call Amazon yourself to check if you were me? I do not want to jeopardize my account. But it’s strange that Amazon would let me list these if they were restricted. I wonder if this message really is from who they say. I guess it’s best to be on the safe side and not sell them. I did reply to the message and told them I have removed the DVDs. Just looking for another opinion. Thanks
We are the actual producers and owners of Bike-O-Vision Videos. We see you’re selling this DVD as “Brand New”. That is impossible since you are not an authorized dealer for Bike-O-Vision videos unless you are pirating them.
We suggest you remove all Bike-O-Vision videos for sale immediately.
We have not reported you to Amazon or other authorities YET regarding copyright and trademark infringement so we suggest you reply right away when you’ve removed these illegal items.
You can relist the unopened ones as Used – Like New, if you’re sure it’s the original wrapping, which is usually cellophane, not shrinkwrap. But you may want to open them to inspect that they really are pristine. Then they could still be listed as Used-Like New, with condition notes stating the disc has not been played, but the wrap has been removed to inspect the disc.
Relist the opened ones according to whatever condition they’re in.
