Has anybody started with a PL product for a gated category(in my case Health) for their first product ever with their Amazon account, meaning they applied to be ungated without having done any previous selling in Amazon?

Has anybody started with a PL product for a gated category(in my case Health) for their first product ever with their Amazon account, meaning they applied to be ungated without having done any previous selling in Amazon?

I asked because I saw in other group some people report that they had used their invocices from the PL product being manufactured by their chinese supplier instead of the standard retail receipts.

I totally welcome any opinion, both of people saying “are you crazy? this can’t be done”(hopefully with some reasoning) and of anybody that has done it like this

If you have the PL product invoices and supporting information, you may use those for ungating – even on a new Pro account.

If you are unsure about which PL product you’re starting with, simply go to a local pharmacy store (e.g. Walgreens/CVS/etc), buy 30 units of something cheap in 2 transactions that are category-related and just submit those receipts. It’s less hassle than getting the correct invoices or purchase orders from your manufacturer before you even have product on hand.

my PL product is currently being manufactured as we speak, will be ready to ship by December 11. I know… kamikaze. I’m concerned that if I use my incoming PL product’s invoices the scrutiny will increase, because logically it’s a new product, unlike items that can be bought in a retail store, which are already tested

We’ve had a few products that were in sports, then got moved to health. You might consider trying to get ungated then put I sports if they don’t ungate you…

It is not hard at all to get ungated in health. Brian is right. I see new accounts being approved sometimes with no docs some days.
