Hey guys help me validate this screenshot from unicorn smasher. Am looking for my first product and I think there is some opportunity here. I think I could put in a more premium product with a couple of accessories to get the price up to $15ish. Margins are still going to be on the low side though. Am i just dreaming here and taking too much of a risk on my first product?

Looks like there is decent sales and only one product that has Hugh reviews. Sell price is in the lower end so this also depends on what you can source your product for. How would you get your product to 15? That would out you as the most expensive product.

How can you tell if a listing is optimized? Also, why the big difference in price? I’ve seen single products versus sets look like this.

First of all, let’s look at the profitability: a good private label product’s price should be around $20-$50. Here I see most of the products are sold for less than $10. Which will not only list them as an “add-on” item, but after the Amazon FBA fees it’ll leave you with a very little profit. I usually look for products with at least $5-$8 profit/unit. I would only consider this product if you can sell it for at least $20. The monthly sales seems pretty low as well, only a couple hundred. I personally look for 500-1,000 units/month as a high demand product. Finally, although there’s some listings with 500-1,000 reviews; the overall competition seems fairly low. But compared to the low price and sales volume I would recommend you research a bit more. Yes, one can make a decent profit from this product; but I think it’s not good for someone’s first product. You want your first product to be a smooth ride, then tackle the harder ones later. Hope it helps and good luck!
