Hey guys I am in the proccess of regstering to the brand program and I have come across two issues –
The form was changed since Anthony’s course so now you have two options to choose from:
We manufacture our own brand of products.
We have received written authorization to manage this brand on Amazon.
Do I actually need to get my supplier to write me much a thing because it’s pretty weird if you work with many suppliers then you need a written paper everytime?
Second issue –
” Upload an image of your product with the branding visible on the product itself ”
My product cant have my logo on it because it’s a decorative product made of glass so it’s kinda impossible to add my brand on it.
If you are private labeling, you are considered the manufacturer. That also means any and all product liability will fall on you. But that’s just how it works.
You must have the brands logo permanently affixed to one of your products. This is not a guideline, it’s a requirement, and they are overzealous in sticking to the requirements.
You can have glass etched with your logo. Or find a similar product, and order a sample, but require that the manufacturer put your brands logo on the sample.
No stickers or Photoshop. Expect that Amazon will run your photos through error detection software to see if it was Photoshoped. Lying to Amazon is not a good idea.
No you do not need a letter. , you need an image of a product with your brand. Most suppliers seem to happily do this on the sample level if you push them to do so.
Amazon does not require that you provide evidence via written letter, however the application process is rather difficult. I had to apply 8 times PROVIDING THE EXACT SAME INFORMATION because Amazon associates appear to be outsourced and they don’t read their own guidelines on basic requirements that need to be met.
get some barcodes with the GS1. It’s 250 for 10 barcodes , but these barcodes can be used if you ever decide to sell retail to other stores such as target or Walmart.
