Indian FBA sellers – need your help! How do you pay your suppliers in China?
I just tried to send my supplier the 30% deposit via bank transfer but my bank (Standard Chartered) wouldn’t let me. They said I need to be a registered importer even if I’m not importing anything into India. Have you had this problem? My supplier is very trustworthy (I know them personally) but PayPal doesn’t work for them. Help?

As in EU, getting an IEC is a matter of couple of hours. I believe it is not much more complicated in India.

If it’s OK for you to pick up the seller fees on paypal then maybe they will go with paypal. Usually the mfg doesn’t want to work with paypal because it costs them 3+% in fees. But if you tell them you’ll pay it, they might add that to the cost and work it out. I did just that for my samples.

try Western Union. Also the supplier must make a Paypal account- its easy to set up . As long as you pay for the paypal charges , they will not have any problems
