Hi everyone
I am in the process of placing my first order with my supplier. Except for our first interaction on Alibaba message portal (email system), we have communicated outside Alibaba portal and via our emails as it is easier. My question is that now that I want to make the initial 30% payment to place the order, should I simply send the money to the Paypal account the supplier provided me with or should I go through Alibab to ensure that our ordering process gets recorded. Can someone please list which steps should I follow.
Many thanks

thanks i did order my sample and it arraived in 5 days. The product is ticking all the boxes after being tested. I have been in communication with the supplier for a couple of months so i have a good feeling about things but still want to be sure that i do everything right, considerig it us my 1st shipment. I need a step by step breif guide on how best to proceed with placing the order – and steps are crucial.

I will have a look at the JS contract and modify it also, not that I would know how to proceed if anything went wrong, but that is true of any contract signed with a company abroad. Just got word that my samples have arrived…second time around since the first samples I ordered from a different Chinese supplier did not meet my specifications and they tried to pass them off. Luckily there is no shortage of suppliers. Just have to find good samples from reliable sources. Also my first product sobI am trying to do everything right. Good luck!!

Be careful some Chinese sellers get upset when you start doubting about their loyalty. so don’t push them too much… If they are gold suppliers on Alibaba then cross your fingers and just order with confidence.
