I am wondering about liability insurance for private label products. I looked into general liability, but they won’t cover private label (saying the seller takes on the role of manufacturer, which is too risky). I got a quote on product liability insurance and it was $5,000-7,500 per year, which is unaffordable for a new seller. Any tips? What do you all do?

There is NO need for this. It is a waste of time and money. Whoever told you that you need this is a fool! I’ve been selling online almost 20 years and can tell you for certain you’ll be throwing away money. At worst become an LLC to gain a little protection if you feel you need it. But I’ve sold gun parts and other weapons for years and never carried insurance. Plus nobody sued you as the seller, and nobody would sue someone without gazillions of dollars. Also very hard to prove the product they got from you on Amazon was your fault for their injury or whatever is going to happen to someone that you think they’d sue you over it!

Amazon only requires insurance for sellers that are featured merchants which generally means you average six figures in sales every month for about a year at least.
