You need to file on all of that income no matter what. That’s just the 1099 threshold. The IRS threshold is like $600.

ebay is 200 items or 5000 a month but if you dont reprot you take achnace and the irs is a non forgiving beast

If you think a CPA is expensive, wait till you see what penalties and interest are for underpaying your taxes. I am not trying to be alarmist, but “I didn’t know” is no excuse to the IRS. You really really do need one.
