Hey guys!
I have chosen a product and I am about to make the last payment to my supplier. But before that I asked them to add UPC codes to my product.
Is it safe to ask the supplier to add it? if yes, do we choose 1 upc code and put it on each unit or different upc codes for every unit?

Thank you

So, I don’t have to tell my supplier to print one UPC code on every unit i have? Or do I print UPC code for each unit, then print FNSKU bar code on each of my unit also?

you dont print the UPC anywhere. that is just to create your listing and get the FNSKU image. once you have your FNSKU image….. that is what you print on packaging. same FNSKU on all identical products

Agree. The only other note I have seen from other sellers is to add UPC code on a tag or somewhere else on the product itself to show its your item. This way if you ever have to deal with hijackers it is another way to show that the hijackers product is a fake.

We did exactly what Kayla said. Insignificantly printing the UPC code well away from the FNSKU code and barcode. In some ways I hope this, as well as unique bundling, will protect against hijackers.

if you are ONLY selling through amazon FBA (and not outside of amazon also) use 1 of your UPCs to create your listing. once the listing is created, follow the instructions for getting your FNSKU image. once you have the FNSKU, this is the only barcode that should be on your package. if you put UPC only, you will have to pay amazon 20 cents per item to put a new sticker over the UPC
