I’m trying to wrap my head around why Amazon refunds the customers before they even send a return back. Since Amazon studies the hell out of everything, I wonder why they feel this is best. Do you think this INCREASES or DECREASES returns? I mean, if someone is on the fence about returning something, do you think pre-refunding them reduces or increases the number of returns?

Maybe they take the loss because customer will buy more if return process is efficient

do you ever buy anything from Amazon? I do (other than business purchases) and it has always been my experience that with a return, my refund comes through about the same time as my return label is scanned into the return system.

But you know, you’re either a scammer or you’re not. It’s just that it seems that scammers have a much easier time on Amazon than almost anywhere else, but easy returns don’t make a scammer out of an honest person.

Well, most people are not scammers per se, but if amazon makes it so easy to scam , they will ! What I heard from someone that sells electronic, (head phones etc) people order an item and return in the same new box, the same item they purchased 6 months ago but is now broken etc, amazon just makes it too easy for customers
