Is anyone else having issues creating a new product? I keep getting the following message,
“We have identified potential matches for the product you are listing. Before attempting to list, please search the Amazon.com catalog first to see if you can find an already existing listing. If your product does not yet exist and needs to be listed with a new ASIN, please contact Seller Support.”
I contacted seller support yesterday and just got a generic answer that didn’t help. Trying to relist it today with the same issue. Wondering if something is wrong with the system. The product does not exist on amazon. I am using ean codes off a list I bought on ebay a few months ago. Maybe I should buy some more?
I am trying to add a product because it does not exist in the catalog. It doesn’t direct me to one. I purchased 1000 codes a couple months ago on ebay and only used about 5 of them now I think they are no good. Now they don’t seem to be working. I just purchased some more from a different seller. 100 for 99 cents. That website is very expensive for the codes. I figure if I use 1 barcode out of the 100 it is still way cheaper. I am waiting now for the barcodes to be sent to me. I should have them in a couple hours to see. I will post once I receive the new codes and try them
Im not sure the OP question has been addressed. The message you are getting is because the UPC for the item has already been added to the catalog. You may need to address the question again if you have not been answered. If you are attempting to “List” an item, all you need to do is locate it in the catalog. If you are trying to add a product “New to the catalog” that is not there, and you get that message, then you need to locate one that it is directing you to. If its not correct, then you will need a new UPC purchased, or ask Amazon to help you add a variation onto the listing page if your item is a variant of the item. Need more help? Just ask.
