Issue with Pending orders

Hi, I am having issues with pending orders sitting there for a day. Is it going to go through or just put the item back in stock?

This is incorrect. Someone placing an item in their cart does not create a pending order and does not change your inventory.

A pending order is an actual submitted order where the payment has not yet cleared.

For FBM orders, the order goes “pending” when a buyer actually places an order. It stays pending beyond 30 minutes if Amazon cannot validate the buyer’s form of payment. It can last up to 21 days (7 days for Amazon to verify payment, up to 3 times in an order if buyer tries 2 more forms of payment beyond the initial or tries to correct the initial — such as the expiration date).

The system is supposed to put the pending inventory back into active inventory if the order never makes it to “unshipped” (in other words, if it’s cancelled either by the buyer him/herself, or by Amazon if the form of payment is never validated).
