I’ve watched up to part 4 of the collaborative lunch and I’m pretty sure I understood most of the stuff and I even ended up choosing a product and got some quotes from suppliers on Alibaba.
Well the only problem I’m facing so far is that I didn’t quite understand all the stickers, barcodes and how to actually send the products from Alibaba to the amazon wearhouse (I intend to use fba and not store the goods at my place)
I would appreciate if someone could explain in detail the exact process of this thing like what to ask from the manufacturer regarding barcodes, stickers etc, how to ship and stuff like that and what problems to expect from amazon and how to avoid them.

I’m figuring this out as well. Check out the recent Jungle Scout webinar on it. Contacting a freight forwarder such as Shapiro was a good source of info I found. http://www.junglescout.com/blog/importing-amazon-products/.

Yeah, you need an UPC to add a new product on amazon. After this you need to decide if you’ll go stickerless comingled or not. In the first case you will need the UPC barcode on every product package and in the other you will need FNSKU (an amazon barcode).

In both cases I recommend to include it in your package design to save 20 cents on every product you’ll send. After you’ve created the listing and registered to FBA and have your quantity that want to send, you’ll need to use Replenish/Send new inventory from your seller central manage fba inventory section. And following the wizard, amazon will create labels for every master box (carton) you need to send. Download the pdf and give it to your supplier to print and attach on each box. Careful that every label is unique. Each box has it’s own. And then relax and wait for amazon to notice you that is receiving your inventory.

Actually I did post about UPC codes the other day here too, so just search for that thread. There were several good comments by others from this group. Hope that helps
