My premium shipping was removed because the carriers, UPS and USPS, failed to deliver the orders on time based on the two-day window. I can ship Next day next time, perhaps that will resolve this issue next year, but how can I be held accountable for something the carriers were totally at fault for? I appealed the decision, and they still said no and that my account will be reviewed in the next 30 days again.
Like clockwork, Amazon pulls this kind of crap right before a major holiday. Valentine’s Day next week. How can I ramp up for something if I cannot get the orders because of this? Anyone else experience this issue? If so, how did you resolve? It does not just come back in 7 days. They specifically asked me to apeal with a root cause analysis and resolution.
This is a very frustrating situation and you’re not the only one. I lost out on a $100 sale thanks to USPS. Just look at the details on this expedited shipment that should’ve been 2 days: 9405510200793681502870. Worse yet, the previous commenters are 100% correct. Amazon doesn’t care and will hold you liable as does the buyer in most cases. You’d think with the huge price increase we’d get more consistent deliveries. Nope…
So, since USPS generally can’t deliver first class packages on time, wouldn’t the best option for 2 shipping be either ups or fedex?
Another thing is, USPS priority mail may say 2-3 days, but it isn’t guaranteed.
If a buyer is purchasing 2 day shipping, they are okay with legitimate 2 day shipping charges. Adjust your rates to make UPS or Fed Ex 2nd day rates apply to your orders with premium shipping.
Are you doing your part and shipping before your carrier’s cut-off each day? For example, at my PO, Express leaves town at 2. This means I need to have my packages scanned by 145 to make it on the truck.
I’m not assuming you aren’t doing it right, I just ask because I’ve seen this come up a dozen times, and almost every time, the seller didn’t know they had a cut-off.
I lost MF Prime shipping right after the holidays. Some days I get it back and lose it 3 or 4 times throughout the day. I did write CS about it and asked them how I could be responsible for the carrier…they can see that I purchase the label that day and the package is scanned at the drop off center the same day….but they said it was still my responsibility to make sure the customer got it within their time frame. I just lost it again for shipping Express to HI because it did not arrive within one day.
