Hi everyone! Recently found a particular seller called Bogzone which has a lot of best sellers among it’s products. But as I look further I see that most of them are listed only a few days ago. How the hell can a product jump right into bestsellers (#40-50 in Home and Kitchen)? Huge giveaways? Yesterday one of these was #18 if I remember well and it was priced $120 (a peeler today it is priced $6.57

Yes, it probably is… But I can’t believe it could jump so high! I could believe if it was Pet Supplies or so…

Yep, I’m also wondering how it’s possible to climb so high due to giveaways only.

How is it possible that someone can achieve so much in less than 1 month

uess: they are buying items themselves with one or more dummy accounts? Maybe sign up for a 30 day trial prime account, then “buying” a bunch of their stuff from those dummy accounts, then shipping them back to AMZ for restock? Nist if those items are 100-150 sales/day. I don’t know enough about BSR to know if you can game the system to reduce you AMZ costs (e.g. can you play this game at reduced cost by buying 20 items at a time?). And either way, if you only have to play for a couple of days to get the organics to catch, then AMZ won’t be looking to collect money for 2 weeks, right? OPM.
I know that this works with AMZ’s book sellers to juice a books BSR. Also works with NYT BS list if you’re willing to preorder boxes of your own books from the publisher prior to shipment. Tim Ferris covers it (in 4 Hr Chef IIRC).
BTW, not endorsing this plan, but nothing I’ve read so far would exclude it, and Tim’s comments about books would seem like they apply to vegi peelers too. I would think that if AMZ figures out this is going on, they will set filters to catch it and suspend accounts that play the game as obviously as this guy is.
