Returing goods for no reason

Does anyone know if the customer selecting the wrong “Return Reason” for their return effects the product listing or your seller returns?

Example: Someone selects “Defective/Does not work properly” but actually they just ordered the wrong size. Is it better to just ask the seller to do a second refund request with the proper reason?

I doubt a customer would want to close the original return request to open another one. It’s my opinion, I could be wrong, but a customer probably feels that if they put in “defective”, there won’t have to pay for any return shipping or restock costs

Yes, it adds to your product listing and history, enough claims like that and you can get a review on that ASIN.

What they really need is an disinterested intermediary who can receive the returns, examine them, and determine whether it was really “defective”.
