So I officially have gotten my product shipped and in Amazon’s FBA warehouses! Which is really exciting, but the fees for my product are sort of insane. It’s estimated to be $5.91, which I assume is for each unit? This adds up to be more per unit than what I paid my supplier per unit, including shipping. My product is not really that crazy. It’s small and light and definitely not oversized. I guess i’m just wondering if everyone else here has seen similar fees as high as this for small items. Is it possible I entered in some information wrong? Or is this just normal? My morale just dropped a bit by this.

You need to accept fba fees. And best practice is to calculate it before ordering. They store, package, ship and provide the customer service – that’s what you’re paying for.
If you think about it. It’s not fair expecting very very low fees just so you can undercut other sellers. Also you need to consider your overall strategy. It’s better to compete on value, not price.
