Hello,
supplier offers to put on shipping invoice much smaller amount than on “normal” invoice, what do you think of that?
My “pro forma” invoice for goods it 3500 (prod) + 1500 (ship) = 5000 USD, but manufacturer offers to put on shipping invoice only less than 750 USD.
What do you think of that? I am not sure if this is LEGAL and cannot cause my some serious trouble later (e.g in company accounting)…

You could avoid some import fees by claiming less money and the goods might be sent out quicker, but in the end you should probably claim actual value.

You have to declare what you import, same idea when you cross the border so it’s kind off illegal, now lets assume the shipment got damaged, the insurance will cover 750, not the 5000, it will be hard to get your money back if there is something wrong with the shipment

You will get fined if they ever catch you doing that. Just like not declaring spending over a certain amount and crossing the border then they inspect and find receipts saying you were over. You get fined, and red flagged, then they will take apart and inspect every shipment you make for the next 2 to 5 years. I’d suggest to just claim the legit value.
