What would you do as a seller? Bought for $8 at goodwill. Doesn't work. 1. Return it (I have a week to do so) 2. Sell for parts on eBay.

I’d buy a new movement for $10 and sell it on eBay for $60. Really easy to replace, but I don’t have as much experience as most on this page. Might not be worth your time.

I can change that clock movement in about two minutes.

Return it. I enlarged the photo and saw no place to even hang a pretend pendulum, which you did not indicate you had. The replacement of the modern, battery powered mechanism is an approximate $8 purchase, plus labor to remove and replace. They can be found at places like Michaels and Hobby Lobby, etc.

Then there is listing fees, paypal fees, shipping costs and preparation. And your valuable time is worth something. I do not see how you can snatch victory from the jaws of negative return on your investment. I”m sorry this hasn’t worked out as you had hoped.
