Whats the process to report a buyer that is abusing Amazon’s return policy? I had a book returned marked as defective. It’s not a book that comes with any CDs or accompanying materials. Not sure how a book can be defective. Either you can read it or you can’t.
Customers are not refunded until receipt of the return has been accepted to the return warehouse. The money “Refund” is pulled from your account as a safeguard to Amazon, so they dont get burned by you. It doesnt go to the customer, it goes into the bank of Amazon. If your item doesnt show up in 45 days from the refund request date, then Amazon reimburses you your money back to your account.
I know that you won’t like hearing this, but the buyer is not abusing amazon’s return policy. A buyer can return anything for any reason within 30 days (longer during the holidays). This extremely generous return policy is what attracts so many buyers and allows us to make the sales that we do. That being said, amazon will detect people that return too much and in some cases take action.
