I just launched my first product a week ago. I suggest you not to ship door to door on the first order. Since the supplier is new. You need to inspect the order- label, packaging, quality of the order.

It is just safer this way, especially it is your first order. Once the supplier proves to you they are reliable in many ways. You can ship direct

I’m in the same process and was wondering about duty as well. Is that something the supplier can/will cost out and build it into the quote or do you have to do that on your own? Is there anything else besides duty that one would need to pay for to get the goods from overseas to the US? I plan to have items shipped by air.

US custom broker working in your shipment will know. In your case, most likely, your supplier will know the designated agent/broker contact information. It is a good idea to reach out.
