We are the manufacturer of our products and the only ones who sell them on Amazon. We have a professional seller account that is in good standing and we would like to advertise our products.
Amazon won’t let us advertise without having the buy box. The buy box is only available if we have sales for the products. We can’t get sales to get the buy box without advertising. How does this make any sense?
We sell a ton of our products on our own website and have many positive reviews on Google and elsewhere. Why can’t some kind of override be done in order to allow us get the buy box and to advertise our already proven products? We can easily prove that our products are trustworthy and that our customers are happy with the third party review services that we use.
The ‘Buy Box’ has nothing to do with the trustworthiness of the products — it has everything to do with Amazon acknowledging you as a seller have a track history of meeting or exceeding buyer expectations to Amazon’s satisfaction.
A seller having the ‘Buy Box’ shows to Amazon’s customers that the seller is trusted by Amazon. All new sellers — regardless of who you are — go through a vetting process to gain ‘Buy Box’ eligibility status. There is no ‘override’. Unlike your processes and success on your platform, Amazon’s is like no other; with policies and metrics that need to be followed and maintained. Until you have proven you can do this to Amazon’s satisfaction, Amazon is not going to promote you to their customers as a trusted seller by granting you the ‘Buy Box’.
