Arbitrage sellers with no Inventory using FBA

We have brand registry and are the manufacturer to boot. We keep any sellers on a tight leash. Recently, an un-authorized seller listed against our products. I contacted them letting them know they were not authorized and to drop their listings. They didn’t.

So I ordered a unit under a personal account. When I received the label it looked suspicious. For one, the details on the listing said it was shipping from Canada, but it came from the US. 2, It was from an Amazon warehouse, but it was not an FBA listing. 3, it had my company name on the return portion of the address. Putting 2 and 2 together I decided to cross check my FBA sales for orders shipping to me. Bingo.

The seller took my personal order and filled it by placing and FBA order through another seller, me. Any one else have this problem? It’s one of those sellers that has 1000s of products, but no inventory.

Order one and then raise the price sky-high. Place multiple single-unit orders and send them as “gifts” to friends and family. Bet with all of the cancellations they might just get off your listing.

Better yet, delete the product and then immediately order…select expedited shipping so they cant drag their feet shipping it out….still a risk they could drop ship through one of your other vendors tho…
