Delivering to a customer a few blocks away

Hi,

We received an order from a buyer who just so happens to be a few blocks away in another complex. Is it allowable to drop it off? There wouldn’t be a valid tracking number but we would have our employee receive a signature to confirm the delivery. So would that be a problem..?

Cheers,

It is not recommended.
As you say there will be no tracking for the order and if there is every any kind of problem you will not have Amazon to back you up.

A signature on a piece of paper is not going to prove anything to Amazon if you go outside of Amazons policy and the customer says the item never arrived, especially if there is no tracking number associated with the order. If you want protection from Amazon, you should follow their policies.

If you ship the item, the customer will get it the next day.
