Hello everyone…Do you typically have your goods shipped directly to Amazon or to do you have them sent to your home office for inspection/quality control? First shipment was good – Supplier took photos for me but I still had them sent to me first for inspection…then I shipped off to FBA-wanting to take a step out if possible.

Ask you freight forwarder if they will do quality control for you. I am in the same boat. I had a smaller shipment flown in, and shipped to our house to check. It was mostly good. But we have a huge shipment coming in that if delivered to our house first then FBA it will cost to much money in shipping, so my freight forward is going to open the box s and spot check for me. The cost of that is cheaper then the extra shipping. Not to mention we have no room for 35 boxes at our house.

I think for a first shipment I would have it delivered to your address. Here’s why… 1st. You can inspect it for quality, you do not want a booboos going out to customers and tanking your reviews. 2nd Amazon will more than likely break up your shipment so if you send it to one warehouse you will pay .30 cents per item to have them transfer them to other warehouses, granted you can do all that with the shipper but logistics could get messed up. So just send half or a quarter of your inventory it also may keep costs down to give you more for SEO and ads. I have never tested this theory but that’s my Logic.

If you’re using an inspection service in China, would you still have it sent to your house or is it ok to go straight to Amazon?

For me. I would like to inspect it my self. I’m not all that impressed with Amazons receiving or logistics. If I never used the company that handled my shipments before I would want to follow up on what they thought was ok. I know they take photos and inspect as much as you tell them. I just don’t trust Amazon from past experience.
