"Great Seller!" -- Are these sellers buying fake feedback or what?

Over the last month or so, I’ve come across a number of book sellers who have chunks (meaning a handful on the same day or two) of 5-star positive feedback that say the exact same thing (“Great Seller!”) from different buyer names that are of the EXACT same format, which is upper-case first name and then an upper-case initial with a period. Please see my example:

I just started keeping record today, so here are the ones I started to record. There have been at least 3 or 4 others over the last month or two that I did not record. Perhaps I’ll stumble upon them again and will notate them here.

Something smells fishy to me. Are these some pay-for-positive feedbacks, or just from some mega buyer/dropshipper who has dozens of buying accounts with the same name formatting and that leave the same feedback at the same time? Or something else?

This reminds me of the sellers with fake feedback in my thread below from last year. There they had much of the same buyer name formatting, but they at least had a larger variety of standard phrases other than just “Great Seller!”. I think most of the sellers from that thread have folded.

Yep. Having struggled to get any feedback, as you know, over the years and seeing this type and quantity of feedback in short time periods is discouraging, to say the least.

Maybe they have a pre-built template that fills this part in for them and all they (the Buyer)need to do is press click to post. Easiest way to get feedback. Do it for them.
