Hi everybody,

I am about to place my first order. My question is if I ask them to ship it via airfreight (it’s lightweight so it will not cost me that much) going to Canada, does it needs to be cleared by custom still or just like ordering my samples it can be delivered straight to me? Please enlighten me.
Thank you!

I wouldn’t recommend doing that:

1) You might pay duties and brokerage fees in Canada then when you ship to USA you will most likely pay brokerage and custom fees so you are doubling the cost + you might need paper work since you are sending products from Canada to USA

2) I am assuming you are shipping to Canada so you can take a look at the product and inspect it correct? I suggest that you ship to the states to a Forwarder and ask them to inspect it , it will be cheaper and easier because once it’s in the states then you are good to ship to anywhere , ask the forwarder to ship one or two items to you then inspect them and give them the okay to ship it to Amazon, shipping from USA to Amazon is cheaper

I was thinking the same but then I decided I am going to use a forwarder because its cheaper and less headache dealing with customs twice and paying twice. Ask your supplier to include 5-6 extra items so the forwarder can ship them to you. You can use any forwarder you want , I recommended Anthony monfet in an earlier post because he is in this business so not only forwarding and inspecting
