Hi everyone. I have a question about facebook campaigns and how it affects ranking for your product. I have a product that was ranking at about 26 . I did a facebook blast with a promotion and the following day my rankings tanked. its now ranking at 54 . I got alot of clicks on the fb ad but nobody bought, could this be the reason why my ranks went down? Will it hurt your ranking that much to have alot of clicks but no conversion?

Yes the CTS (click to sales) rate is a larger factor than the CTR (click through rate) for people on your listings. So if you have a large number of people searching on Amazon or elsewhere for your products and not buying then your rank will suffer. If your purchasing goes up when people click onto your pages then you will see a raise in the ranking for your items…that is a fact. It is much more important to have a high CTS rate than anything else as sales trump all.
