Hi folks!

I was wondering if any of you have worked with FBAForward to handle your shipments at all?

I am considering using their turn-key service but based on my calculations it turns out to be quite pricey! Can anyone confirm with me the fees involved? From my understanding, there is a $199 fee for first-time clients, plus min. $250 duties, plus min. $250 port fees, and shipping on top, which in my case is about $650 for a 100kg package.

I realize that with a larger order I can certainly make it worthwile, but for my first order of only 100 units, all those expenses raise the cost of the product from $1.50 to over $15, excluding FBA fees, giving me a ~$3 profit margin.

Is there any way to reduce those costs for my initial order?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

The fees they quote are about right. I just shipped 2 x 500 products via FBAforward and the total came to around $3000, including Amazon collection from San Diego – this alone was $850 and alls shipping brokerage etc. It was almost exactly as I estimated. Of course pro rata that will go down as i order bigger volumes and get savvy with combining orders as each shipment has a $250 port fee, so three products on one shipment is still only one fee.
