How are media sellers and sellers dealing in light weight merch (under 6oz) dealing with the HUGE shipping increase through usps ? Use to cost us $2.15 to ship a DVD and CD. Now shipping usps first class is 2.60!!!!

I raised prices where I could and I take the hit where I can’t. It ended up being a 54 cent increase on my biggest sellers. Yeah it’s annoying, but that’s business.

Several of you are saying …. “Pass on to buyer” or “raise shipping”. Before the recent increase in shipping we had best price on many of our products although we competed with 3-4 other people. If we raise our shipping or our item sale price we will no longer have the best price and will move to the bottom of the list and won’t sell a single item. However , if we leave it where it is we will continue to move product but will profit almost nothing… our margins were very small before shipping increase now non existent if we leave price alone. EVERYONE will eventually have to raise their prices to be able to compete and have profitability… However, in the mean time we all suffer and have to deal somehow ..

Most of my sales are from my non-eBay store and most under 8oz. I had to raise shipping 50c.

I use ShipStation and they figured out how to charge retail postage for 0-3oz, so I “only” pay 2.54 for 3 and under.
