I know it’s broad question, but is it worth being an Amazon Seller these days, is the idea of having product inventory and dealing with suppliers from US or China worth it, is the market swamped by other sellers with all these courses released weekly? I have a sneaky feeling they make more money on the courses than actually selling on Amazon, but that is just an opinion. In view of the above will my time be well spent elsewhere?
I’ve been looking at the same list of questions, Fitz. The fact is that either way of earning money is going to involve quite a lot of time and effort. If you don’t have much capital and are prepared to work at getting traffic to your site – and know how to do that – then being an affiliate is for you.
Jeff Bezos is aiming to have Amazon selling a couple of billion dollars worth of goods in 2017 so the more people who are selling on his site, the better he likes it. There are huge opportunities for selling on Amazon, but it requires work, capital and dedication.
Selling on Amazon is about owning your own business. It takes hard work, lots of hours, late nights and difficulties dealing with suppliers. I would not trade all of these for anything. I made 80k (gross sales) first 12 months building my retirement working a 40 hour day job.
You don’t own your own business with Amazon, because if Amazon decide one day to shut your account and it’s happened to many people then your business is gone. Never place all your faith in one venture, especially when you don’t pull the strings.
