Just created my first sku and trying to format on my label for my supplier, however not sure how to get the barcode with sku number on there. Can anyone tell me what the steps are

Can you please explain.  do you mean print your barcode and label. You will need to create a shipment first and in the flow there is an option to print your own labels.

Sorry, I got it figured out. I had given my designer another number that they thought was the sku. They got it figured out, and I should be good now

SKU stands for Stock Keeping Unit which is an individual item, such as a product or a service that is offered for sale. The item is represented by a unique code specific to the company that sells the item. The SKU includes specific details about the product such as product size variation and unlike a barcode it is human readable.

If you are the manufacturer of the product you may intend to add  to a range in the future. If all your existing product SKU are sequential number strings the relationship of a new product to that range will not be apparent.
