I’ve found two different documents/pages with two different lots of information on this. One seems to imply that all clear bags have to have a suffocation warning on them but another says only for toys for children under the age of 14 years old.
Could anyone advise?
Just want to be sure that when we send in our first shipment which isn’t toys or for under 14s that we don’t have any problems 🙂
It’s more of a bag size issue rather than a contents issue.
I can’t find the correct info at the minute but I think if the bag has an opening of 10cm or over it needs a suffocation warning and holes.
This is obviously more of an issue when dealing with baby and children items, as they are likely to be around when the item is opened, which is where it seems the confusion with Amazon occurs.
Basically, if your items can be damaged by dust place in a polybag. If these items are going to be used/for children then place in a polybag with a safety warning and add holes.
If you only have plain polybags for your first shipment then, print of warning labels that will not peal off the bag, and apply to the outside of the bag. Then cut off the corners of the bag to allow air to flow. You can then order the correct bags.
Other posters may have a more exact reply but I hope this helps to get you started.
