FNSKU wording question.

Seems a bit silly to ask but I’m about to create my first listing and wondered how import the wording on the FNSKU label is, especially if I plan on having variations or is all this irrelevant and maybe I’m over think it all?

I’ve only done it for few RA items and I’m not in front of my PC so cannot remember but not hard I think. Once you’ve created your listing you don’t need to go on to the create shipment page. I think if memory serves you back to you inventory page. There you pick the pull down option on the very right side of the screen and I think there is the option to download / print your labels. Hopefully someone can clarify better than I’ve said here.

I’m just wondering if there are any “rules” that stipulate or guide what should / could be in there or is it whatever pleases you?

In my opinion the text is irrelevant. This is the label when you download it from the shipment you make but you can also print your own UPC on let’s say a box of your own design. As long as it’s the UPC you put in when you made your listing. Am I right?

Carel van den Boogaart. I do know that you do not put a UPC code/barcode and put it on your product for Amazon. The UPC is just for when you are creating your listing to identify the product. I’m quite certain that the rules state there is to be only 1 barcode on the product.
Sorry if I’ve misunderstood your meaning hopefully not.

If my simple understanding is correct the FNSKU is for Amazon which does / does not have a “name / description” below it, see my previous screenshot above. The UPC is put in when you create your listing but does not get printed or “put on” the product. You only put in the UPC label when you sell from your own e-commerce site – is this essentially correct?
