The customs broker that is handling the paperwork for my first shipment is suggesting an HTS classification that doesn’t make any sense for my product. The duty rate for their classification suggestion is, of course, higher at 7% than the one that makes most sense to me at 5%.

I really do not want to accept their suggestion if it’s wrong, because it sets a precedent going forward if I order the same product again. On the other hand, if I’m wrong, I won’t be happy if my shipment gets held up in customs. Anthony, do you still have the consult time available that was offered when I bought the udemy courses? I think it would be helpful right about now

There is no free consulting time with buying the courses. When I first released one of my courses I offered I would give some consulting through email or whatever–Udemy stopped that in its tracks and said I couldn’t contact people like that nor could I do that in any way. So they said they removed all written mentions of that from my courses…so that’s not available….its not possible to do at this point anyhow Tony. Think about it, I have over 15,000 students…so even at just one hour, that’d be 15,000 hours or almost two years straight of consulting if i worked 24/hours per day!
