What do you guys do when a customer reports a stolen item? It’s happened several times already, and Amazon has been incredibly unhelpful. They claim that they cannot do anything if the package shows as delivered – even though the box has been opened and is empty. Really sucks to have to send a free replacement. Does their shipping insurance really only cover scenarios where a package gets lost in transit and the tracking number shows it hasn’t been delivered?

Surprisingly, getting the customer to call Amazon themselves has proven to be useless as well. It’s almost like they don’t even believe it can happen or something.

What do you guys do, just suck it up and send another one?
