you can have your supplier ship straight to amazon and they can use the ups labels created through amazon. So I got the part of how to create a label through the shipping que and send the supplier the shipping label as a pdf. my question is the shipping label will have the sender as my name and address and then the receiver as amazon. Should the supplier send the package straight amazon using that label as if i was sending it or should the supplier change the sending address as their address and then ship to amazon?
The shipping labels have a FBA number and UPC code that ties the shipment to your account. If your shipment uses pallets you are required by Amazon to have pallet shipping labels on each side of the pallet and up towards the top of the pallet. Each case on the pallet must also have a shipping label. Doing this the first time a person is out of their comfort zone because they are not sure what to do. However, once you go through it once it’s a piece of cake
So I change my address to the suppliers address send them the PDF with the FDA UPS shipping labels and then have them ship it from there and to the different Amazon warehouse is where each box is supposed to go. Now another question isshould I follow through and purchase the shipping labels or or just copy of the labelthen send it to the supplier? Really I’m just trying to figure out if I purchased the labels through Amazon I would be paying for shipping again because I already paid my supplier the shipping cost they would in essence just be shipping the product using my labels that I paid Amazon for? I would like your opinion on this please
I am little confused by your statement”I purchased the labels through Amazon” if you’re referring to the shipping labels than these are printed out in a PDF file. Simply print out the appropriate number of shipping labels and e-mail them to your supplier. Have them put them on the appropriate boxes/cases addressed to each Amazon warehouse. Also instruct your supplier to have the appropriate count for each warehouse. Are you shipping a couple of boxes by air? Or are you shipping heavy that has to do with pallets by sea?
If your shipping a couple of boxes by air than your supplier could pretty much use their DHL account and send them directly to the Amazon warehouses. If your shipping heavy by sea on pallets then you’ll have to have a freight forwarder take care of the shipping. Normally, they will bring in the heavy shipment into one two or three different ports. But normally one port. Then it will be shipped by truck and I mean semitruck to the appropriate warehouses across the states. If you’re just shipping a few boxes at a time then you really don’t have to worry about a custom bond.
