I want to ask if anyone can share the sea rate from your freight forwarder.
I requested a quotation in Forest Shipping, since they focus on shipping goods from China to Amazon FBA. Also Josh has good experiences with this company.
They offered me the sea rate 698 USD and air rate 1080 USD for 0,87 cbm and 200 kgs, Xiamen -> California.
Can you please advise if it is good rate or not?
My supplier in China offered me the sea rate 200 USD for the same shipment, but I don’t want to risk Amazon will not accept my shipment to the warehouse, because some aspect of the shipping process won’t be handled correctly.
I think the quotation from Forest Shipping is extremely overrated (at least when compared to 200 USD that offered my supplier).
What is your experience?

You want to make sure that you are comparing apples to apples b/w the forwarders rate and your suppliers rate. Are port charges, customs clearance, duties, included in the 200? Try asking for a breakdown of what exactly is included in that price, because you may have some unpleasant surpise costs turn up once the goods arrive.
