I’m trying to ship my products from China to US, but my supplier and their UPS contact say that they can’t handle any custom duties. As far a I know UPS does that on behalf of us and some even include this charge for their shipping quote but so far I’m having a really hard time with them. The language barrier makes things even harder.
Can anyone please advise me how I can get this sorted? As I live in Australia, I don’t know any local freight forwarders in China.
All I want is to ship them either to a prep company or directly to Amazon but I reckon I have to pay duties either way.
They keep suggesting me to reduce the FOB to less than $200 to overcome the tax issues but I don’t like that either. I guess the only option is to send the shipment in small quantities like 250 pieces at a time just to get the FOB in under $200. Would that be a solution?
I’m sure most of you in this forum have gone though this custom duty and shipping hassle many times in the past or may be going through right now. Can someone please help me?

man if your shipment value is less than 2500 your custom tax is very small .. maybe 1% of the value or something. there is an online calculator to estimate this cost do not worry about it!
