Ordering something on Amazon Prime and it shows 2 days shipping but when I go to check out it shows “Usually ships within 1 to 3 months”. I ordered once and then cancelled order because I need this item soon. Any ideas what that’s about? It showed sold by Amazon.

Prime shipping is free “when in stock.” This means Amazon has it on order and is expecting to receive it within 1-3 months. Once it’s in, they’ll charge then ship the orders with appropriate shipping (free 2 day for Prime purchases, for example).
It’s not terribly common for this type of situation to happen. The fact that they won’t have it for awhile is why they’ve buried themselves on the second page rather than advertising themselves and their Prime shipping right up front.

It just means they’re currently out if stock but it’s on order. Happens.

If it shows 2 day shipping, it’s for another seller. Not the one you’ve put in your cart.
