Sup guys im about to put in my first bulk order from alibaba.
Pretend my item is a lamp, and my company name is Abc Lamps (filed as a DBA, not a LLC)
Do i need to make a custom box that says Abc lamps , or can i just ship my items to fba in a stock brown box and they ship it to customers ?

well…. it’s best to have some type of identifiers on the box. Also, for amazon brand registry, your brand name MUST be on the packaging, and on the product itself. If you want to save cost, you should consider designing a nice sticker for the box will include all of the product info, your brand name, and even the FN SKU.

Brand Registry will want photos of your brand on the package and product. However, twice now with buddy’s and once with myself, I have seen Amazon approve Brand Registry with only one of these. I’ve seen both cases, where one didnt have it on the product but had it on the packagin, and another (me) where I had it on the product, but not on the packaging. I just sent a 2nd photo of the product and it got approved. But why risk it? If you can get it on both, do it. I only did this because my packaging (2nd round of orders) wasn’t yet done, but I was eager to get brand registry going due to a hijacking

most suppliers can print small vinyl stickers. some even have a transparent background. Here is an example of the box label. it doesnt need to be complicated. how I see it, amazon is gonna charge you 20 cents for every item that does not have an FNSKU on it, so pay the supplier 20 cents per item to attach a nice label.
