We are experiencing a slew of buyer messages saying USPS confirms delivery of their orders however they did not receive them. Why so many I do not know. Do any of you go so far as to call the post office is in the various cities or file police reports? Does anyone take the time to do this or do we have to resort to refunding these characters and losing our own hard-earned money after purchasing delivery confirmation direct from Amazon shipping? What say you?
Smart fraudsters know without signature they will get their money back. Smart sellers know for some items adding the cost of signature will tank your sales in some cases. Especially on an Asin with competitors. I virtually never get these on eBay or my own site. But it seems at least once a week on Amazon I get a “it shows delivered, but I didn’t get it”. If you can’t add the cost of signature tell them you are calling their post master and then filing a notice to the postal inspections office. Sometimes their package will magically appear when they know you’re not just going to refund on a whim.
I have had a few. Filed A-Z and were awarded. Took money out of my account and gave it to the customers. I feel majority are lying since Amazon gives it to them. I report them to Amazon so if they have repeat offenses, they get banned. I feel if Amazon is going to honor these they should cover the cost themselves. If tracking shows delivered it should no longer be our responsibility. We did our part and shipped. But thankfully they are few. I now ship anything over $150 with signature request. Debating on lowering the threshold to $100.
This is truly happening I’ve had 6 items say they were delivered just in the last 2 weeks but the packages were not delivered then a few days later they will show up. Only 2 out of my 6 did not show up, this is happening everywhere. Amazon told me to contact the post office and the post office tells me to,contact Amazon. I’ve also received messages that package was delivered but it’s not then the next day get a message saying the package is delayed.
