Should you have UPC code or FNSKU code on your product packaging ? Since Amazon or FBA Inspection add the FMSKU code, doesn’t it make sense to have it on there from the start ? But is the UPC code needed at all ?

If you use the UPC code, you’ll be able to sell in a retail outlet without changing your packaging

IF you put a UPC code on your packaging… Amazon will REQUIRE you to COVER IT UP with AZ’ FNSKU code.. so, it will be a waste of money to print and put UPC codes on your packaging IF you are only selling on AZ… you can always print UPCs and apply them to the units that you may put on other channels. But, if you are working with just AZ don’t bother putting the UPC on the package… you are wasting money and resources.
You must HAVE a UPC for you item IN ORDER to set up your Private Label listing for your item… Once you enter your UPC for your item you no longer will ever need to use it again… (theoretically)
