Hi everybody! I need some help. I am just about to pay for the goods for my supplier on Alibaba. My supplier gave me his company details and wants me to pay via bank transfer to his company account and don’t pay initial payment through Alibaba site . Is it normal? His company has Trade Assurance.

If it’s specified in the sales contract in Alibaba trade assurance and the bank address is alibaba Citibank account, then it’s alibaba trade assurance. If not you should request for Trade assurance. Anything other than trade assurance or secured pay is not protecting you.
